Anne Bristow

Corporate Director of Adult and Community Services

Anne became the Corporate Director of Adult and Community Services in November 2006.

Anne had previously worked at Haringey Council initially as the Director of Housing and Social Services and then to Director of Social Services, encompassing housing strategy.

She has a strong commitment to corporate working, driven by an interest in the end-users experience of services (born out of her early advocacy work) and an impatience with poor service standards and bureaucratic response to local residents.

Since July 2004, she has been Chair of the Association of Directors of Social Services Sensory Impairment sub-committee and contributes to a range of activities in that field.

Anne wishes to build on the success of Adult Services being awarded a 2-star rating by government inspectors by addressing areas for improvement and continuing to offer local people the best services possible.
