Asset Strategy and Capital Delivery

 

The main responsibilities of Asset Strategy and Capital Delivery are:

 

Production of the Corporate Asset Management Plan|

We are responsible for producing a plan on how we will manage, improve and invest in our operational buildings and premises assets including offices, care homes, libraries and halls.

 

Management of Property Portfolio|

We are responsible for the handling, day to day running and investment of council owned property.

 

Maintenance of public buildings

We make sure that council buildings such as schools and libraries are looked after and maintained to a high standard.

 

Provision of Building Design and Surveying Services

We provide professional technical services which includes project management, architecture,structural engineering, quantity surveying clerk of works, building maintenance and mechanical and electrical design.

 

Highways and Civil Engineering|

We are responsible for the development and maintenance of all roads and footpaths. This includes street lighting, road safety, traffic schemes and parking strategy.

 

Management Structure

The Asset Strategy and Capital Development Division is led by Jim Mack, the Head of Service, he is supported by 4 groups managers, each responsible for different activities.
