We work with agencies, businesses and schools Strategy and Support Services to improve skills for adults and young people and help them into jobs. We are also responsible for implementing the borough's Enterprise Plan, funded by a £15.5 million grant from the government's Local Enterprise Growth Initiative.
We are committed to maximising the numbers of residents - that's young people and adults - engaged in education, employment or training, by raising levels of educational attainment and by preparing them for working life.
