How can I get involved?

Barking Park wants to facilitate and maintain an open and ongoing dialogue with park users and the local community as a whole.

Part of the reason for securing the funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund is to encourage greater public participation in the management and development of Barking Park.

This can vary from attending some of the events and activities organised by the Barking Park Ranger service to joining the Barking Park Friends Group, or volunteering and becoming involved in other active nature conservation work (nest box building or recording some of the park's wildlife).

For those who want to broaden their experience volunteering at Barking Park can assist with obtaining further work in horticultural, nature conservation or park management posts.
