Barking Park is one of the borough's strategic parks where investment will be concentrated and will include an extensive events and activities programme organised by the Barking Park Education and Outreach Ranger Team.
The rangers produce an exciting and varied programme of events and activities every 3 months, aimed at children, young people and adults, so there's something for everyone all year round.
These take place mainly at weekends and school holidays throughout the year and include guided walks, treasure trails, looking closely at nature and learning through games.
Are you involved in a community or school group in Barking and Dagenham? See what the rangers can offer you.
In addition to the events and activities organised by the rangers there's much more you can do in the park.
You can lead yourself around the park by following the self walk route (formally 'just walk'), aimed to guide you through the highlights of park and get you active. Or, if you prefer company on your walks, why not join the health walks?
