Museums and heritage

Barking and Dagenham Heritage Services are well-loved and well-used by local residents and those from further afield. Thousands of people visit Eastbury Manor House each year, and Valence House Museum and the Archives and Local Studies Centre reopened in 2010 following a major redevelopment.

Details of our events

We also offer Outreach and schools activities, a Heritage volunteering programme and room hire. Civil weddings and civil ceremonies are held in the stunning setting of Eastbury Manor House.
