Country parks and nature reserves 

Discover and explore the hidden green treasures of Barking and Dagenham in a variety of peaceful parks and nature reserves.

Beam Valley
A mixture of woodlands, acid grassland, ponds and marsh areas.

Chase Local Nature Reserve
Includes shallow wetlands, reed beds, horse-grazed pasture, scrub and woodland.

Dagenham Corridor
This runs from Hainault to the River Thames and includes the Eastbrookend Country Park, the Chase Local Nature Reserve and the Beam Valley Country Park.

Eastbrookend Country Park
Provides local people with the chance to experience the pleasures of the countryside on their doorstep.

Millennium Centre
Our visitor and education centre, open to the public throughout the year.

Ripple Nature Reserve
Includes areas of meadow and scrub.

Scrattons Farm Eco Park
An oasis where flora and fauna can flourish and local residents can go to relax and enjoy.

St Peter and St Paul's Churchyard
Also known as Dagenham Parish Churchyard.
The main importance of the churchyard is for invertebrates.

Bye laws are local laws to protect our environment from damage, spoiling or misuse. Certain activities and behaviour is prohibited in our parks and nature reserves.
