The Mayor's Charity Appeal

Due to the short time that I have had to select my chosen charities for this year, but one that was at the forefront of my thoughts, I have nominated the Help for Heroes and will possibly select another local charity to support.

Help for Heroes is very simple and is based on the idea that we, the people of this country, have a deep affection and admiration for our armed forces.

We understand that, while we cannot prevent Servicemen and women being wounded, we can help them get better - your donations go direct to supporting the wounded men and women.

I am sure you will agree as I do that this is a very worthy charity to contribute to and will welcome your support over the coming year.
