Youth Forum

How the forum works

The young people on the Forum decided the way it will work. This includes the decision to divide the Forum into 3 smaller sub groups to deal with issues important to young people. They are:

Crime and safety
Youth facilities
Equalities

Each Subgroup meets once every 2 weeks to work on issues they would like to change.

The whole Forum meets together once every 8 weeks to hold a Full Forum meeting to discuss the work of the each of the subgroups and make decisions about the Forum.

The way the Forum works is set out in guidelines called the Terms of Reference.

Each subgroup elects a Chair person to lead and represent the group.

The Full Forum also elects a Chair and Vice Chair person to lead and represent the Forum as a whole.
