The main purpose of the General Income section is to act as a support service to other council departments who are required to provide chargeable services to people, businesses and organisations within the borough.
It also provides a recovery and enforcement function and acts on behalf of other council departments to ensure that once invoices are sent to people / businesses / organisations, they are paid promptly and in full.
The General Income Section will be your first port of call if you have received, or are receiving, a service from the council and have been sent an invoice for that service.
The General Income Section can provide you with assistance with paying the invoice, including instalment arrangements, payments by credit or debit card and soon we will also have Direct Debit.
The General Income section, can only deal with issues relating to the payment of invoices.
If you have another query (i.e. not a query to do with paying the invoice), you will have to speak to the section within the council that provided the service to you.
