The One Stop Shop at Stour Road now offers advice on the following services:

Business Rates
Mobility Services (blue badges, freedom passes, Radar keys)

Pupil Service (free school meals, clothing grants and student loan applications)

In addition to these services, we also have another One Stop Shop based at the Barking Learning Centre conveniently located in Barking Town Centre.

Reply to your letters within 10 working days
Answer the telephone within 10 rings
See you within 10 minutes if you visit us
Always give our names when we speak or write to you

Send bills and letters that are clear and accurate
Make sure that the right person receives their bill
Give you a choice of how to pay
Give you at least 14 days notice of installments
Calculate your entitlement to benefit within 14 days of receiving a properly completed claim

Take prompt action to recover overdue council tax, rent, business rates or sundry accounts

Provide all the necessary proof and information required to calculate your benefit entitlement or account
Tell us about any changes to your personal circumstances or your property that may affect your benefit or tax
Make sure that your payments reach us by the date they are due
Contact us immediately if you are having difficulty making payments
Give your account number whenever you contact us
