Terms and conditions
Any reference to 'we' throughout these terms and conditions refers jointly to all the 4 London boroughs taking part: Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Newham and Tower Hamlets.
- To enter this competition you must be:
- (a) A resident of one of the following London boroughs: Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Newham or Tower Hamlets; and
- (b) Be liable to pay council tax
- Only one entry per person per household. (You cannot cancel your Direct Debit mandate and re-set it up again to gain more entries)
- There is one main prize only of £1500; covering all 4 boroughs, but there is a second prize of £100 and a third prize of £50 available for each of the 4 boroughs
- The prize money will be issued in the form of a cheque
- If you have Council Tax arrears your prize fund will be used (in part or in full) to reduce your outstanding debt
- The closing date for this competition is Friday 30 January 2009 at 12 midday. Only residents paying their Council Tax by Direct Debit at this time will be entered into the prize draw, and we reserve the right to amend the competition end date at any time
- Residents who have been paying their Council Tax by Direct Debit before this competition was launched are still eligible, and will be automatically entered into the draw, as long as their Direct Debit is still in place at the time of the prize draw
- The draw will take place in March 2009, by an individual not employed by any of the 4 boroughs involved
- If you are a winner, we will notify you by telephone and post. The judges' decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into
- The prize is not transferable to another person
- We reserve the right to amend these rules, and the competition, at any time. If we do this we will publish the amended and/or new competition rules on the relevant website pages
- We will endeavour to send prizes within 1 month of the competition draw date but cannot guarantee this delivery time
- By entering the competition the winner agrees to participate in such promotional activity and material as we may require
