Reminders and Final Notices

We would normally allow you a short period of time after the due date before we send you a reminder.

One the first occasion in the financial year that your account is overdue, you will be sent a reminder. You will have 7 days to pay any overdue amounts.

If you pay the reminder on time, you can continue to pay the rest of your bill by installments. If you only pay part of a reminder, we will send you a final notice, requiring you to pay all overdue amounts within a further 7 days.

On the second occasion in the financial year that your account is overdue you will be sent a final notice. You will lose the right to continue to pay by monthly installments and you will have 7 days to pay the whole balance of the year's business rates.

Failure to pay any reminder or final notice will lead to the issue of a Magistrates Court summons.
