Important Information regarding the new Search Forms and our procedure from 1 August 2007

Please note that the CON29 Part 1 and 2 Search Forms (2002) Edition have now been replaced as from the 1 August 2007.

 

The new forms are now to be known as the CON29R 'Required' and the CON29O 'Optional' (2007) Edition.

 

These forms will be available from your usual suppliers.

 

What is a Local Land Charge Search?

As a potential buyer of Property / Land / Commercial or Industrial premises in Barking and Dagenham, you will need to be aware that, as part of the conveyancing process a local authority Local Land Charges Search against the property must be undertaken.

 

The reason for the search is to find out whether there are any restrictions or legal obligations registered against the premises.
