Our Community Priorities

Barking and Dagenham

The Community Plan sets out the ambitions for the Barking and Dagenham Partnership and how it will work to deliver improvements in the borough.

There are many agencies working to improve the borough, and to deliver services to its residents, from the Council, health services and Police through to businesses and smaller voluntary and community organisations.

Only by bringing together their actions and ambitions in a plan such as this can we get a consistent approach to delivering what the residents of the borough tell us is important to them.

The agreed priorities are based on talking and listening to over 3,000 people in the borough, the Partnership has signed up to a vision statement that sums up the main points in the messages that we received.

The 6 community priorities are:

We want everybody to live, work and thrive in a borough which is:

  1. Safe
  2. Clean
  3. Fair and respectful
  4. Healthy
  5. Prosperous
  6. Inspired and successful
