Sports hall athletics

If you are aged 8-11 years old and are interested in athletics, then try our sports hall athletics session at Wood Lane Sports Centre on Monday afternoons. All equipment used is adapted to suit the age group and indoor facilities.

 

Various disciplines are covered throughout the sessions, including javelin, discuss, shot put, hurdles, relay, long jump plus lots more. Just turn up and join in or for more information contact the Sports Development Unit at the address shown.

4pm - 5.30pm

Age Group: 8-11 year olds

Cost: £2 per session

 

Disabled after school club

This activity session is specifically for young disabled people aged 8-19 year olds. Each session consists of fun packed activities such as boccia, new age kurling, kwik cricket, football, basketball and many more.

 

Experienced staff are on hand to assist young people and adapt activities when required. However, young people requiring constant one to one supervision must attend with their own carer (who has free entry).

 

Transport is also available for students who attend Trinity School and live in the borough. For more information contact the Sports Development Unit at the address shown.

Age Group: 8-19 year olds

Cost: £2 (Centre members), £2.50 (Non Centre members), £3 (Centre members including transport), £3.50 (Non centre members including transport)

 

Sport and play

Sport and play is an activity session for young people aged 5 -11 years. A variety of sport activities and fun and games are played each week including football, basketball, unihoc, kwik cricket, rounders, trampolining, boccia, new age kurling and fun and games.
