Swimming pool parties

Swimming pool parties are a real splash and lots of fun at Dagenham Swimming Pool. After the splash, everyone can enjoy some food and party games in one of our functions rooms.

 

The following are all included in 2 hours of fabulous party fun.

 

Exclusive use of small pool for up to 25 children (weekend's only).

 

To add to the enjoyment of the party we provide toys, balls and floats for the children to play with in the water. Armbands will be provided for all weak and non-swimmers.

 

Our qualified lifeguards are on duty throughout the hire period.

 

Exclusive use of the function area where the children can have party games and some food.

 

Opening hours

 

Saturday

Pool: 2.15pm - 3.15pm and 3.30pm - 4.30pm

Function Room: 3.15pm - 4.15pm and 4.30pm - 5.30pm

 

Sunday

Pool: 1pm - 2pm and 2pm - 3pm

Function Room: 2pm - 3pm and 3pm - 4pm

 

Swimming lessons

Whatever your age, standard or needs, we can provide the programme for you!

 

From over 5s, through to adult lessons. From water confidence and beginners through to improvers and advanced classes.

 

10 week courses, 'one to one' lessons 1 week intensive. Ask at reception for details.

 

Small pool lessons - Ducklings

For children 3 and 4 years of age. Basic water confidence, jumping in, swimming and floating with buoyancy aids. Non-assisted by parents.

 

Level 1 and 2

For complete non-swimmers over 5 years old and those who have progressed from Duckling Classes.

 

Level 3 and 4

Those able to swim a minimum of 5 metres un-aided. Basic water confidence, jumping in, swimming and floating with buoyancy aids. Non-assisted by parents.

Main pool lessons

Level 5 and 6 (shallow end)

Those able to swim 10 metres unaided on front and back in recognised stroke. Must be water confident.

 

Level 7 and 8 (shallow end)

Those able to swim 50 metres with a recognised stroke. Able to perform head down (correct breathing) Front Crawl. Able to stay afloat, treading water for 60 seconds.

 

Level 9 and 10 (deep end)

Those able to swim 3 strokes as required by Amateur Swimming Association standards. Basic knowledge of Sculling.

 

Level 11 and 12 (deep end)

Basic knowledge of diving. Knowledge of 4 strokes and able to perform all 4 to reasonable stand over 25 metres each stroke.
