All change for bulky waste
We launched a new bulky waste service borough-wide on Wednesday 21 November 2007.
Residents will now have the option to pay a minimum of £12.50 to have their bulky waste collected within 3 days, or can wait a minimum of 5 weeks to have 4 items, depending on weight and size, picked up free of charge.
Previously, they had to wait up to 6 weeks for bulky items to be removed, whereas anything fly-tipped was removed within 24 hours.
As part of the cleaner, greener and safer campaign, we are overhauling the service to offer a cheap, reliable way of disposing unwanted items.
The new service will still allow people to get rid of items that cannot be collected through normal domestic waste or recycling collections
