These are issued to residents living within a controlled parking zones with adequate documentation to prove this. The permit allows the holder to park in a designated resident permit holders or shared-use parking place during the controlled hours.
To get a residents permit, applicants are required to supply 2 current proofs of address, insurance document, and vehicle registration document. Applicants in possession of disabled badge (which must be in their name) are issued the permit at no cost (i.e. free of charge).
For applicants using company vehicle, we require a letter from the company secretary or car pool manager confirming that the applicant has sole use of the vehicle. The letter must also include the vehicle registration number and the applicant's address.
Permits can be applied for, either by post or at Barking Learning Centre.
The costs of the permits are (each per annum):
Permits may be purchased by post, by writing to Parking Services at the address shown or by visiting the Barking Learning Centre, One Stop Shop, 2 Town Square, Barking, IG11 7NB.
Opening hours:
9am - 7pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
9am - 5pm, Wednesday and Saturday
