The Millennium Centre
The Millennium Centre is a visitor and education centre, which is open to the public throughout the year.
It acts as a focal point for visitors, with information about the Eastbrookend Country Park and The Chase Local Nature Reserve.
There are toilet and baby-changing facilities.
Green Café at the Millennium Centre
Visitors can enjoy morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea in the picturesque setting of Eastbrookend Country Park at the Millennium Centre Café.
The Café, operated by our Catering Services, is open Monday to Friday from 10am - 4pm and Saturday and Sunday from 1pm - 4pm. They serve:
- Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a selection of cold drinks
- Fresh sandwiches
- Home made cakes and biscuits
- Crisps, snacks and sweets
- Toasted sandwiches
If you fancy a relaxing stroll around the most beautiful countryside in Barking and Dagenham, followed by a tasty snack, then why not give us a try!
The building is wheelchair accessible.
Opening hours
April - September: 10am - 5pm (Weekends 1pm - 5pm)
October - March: 10am - 4pm (Weekends 1pm - 4pm)
Please note: Occasionally the building may be closed for staff training or health and safety reasons.

Directions by public transport
Dagenham Heathway
- District Line train to Dagenham Heathway Station
- Turn left out of station to bus stop
- Bus number 174 to Farmhouse Tavern
- Cross road using pelican crossing
- Enter Country Park
For the Millennium Centre, turn left and follow path behind the Farmhouse Tavern, you will see the Millennium Centre in front of you.
Dagenham East
- District Line train to Dagenham East Station
- Cross over zebra crossing then turn left over bridge
- Walk past Aventis Pharma buildings
- Turn immediately right along footpath, following factory boundary
- Continue past the sports field on your left, until reaching a footpath to the left
- Follow footpath into the Country Park
For the Millennium Centre, follow the path straight on past the woodland, you will see the Millennium Centre over to the right.
