You will find the basic information you will need about the burial sites that we, the Cemeteries Service, manage.
Our priority is to make sure that all funeral services held in our cemeteries are dignified and not rushed.
Our 3 cemeteries all have a comfortable chapel for your service and hymn books for those that want to use them.
If you would like to listen to a specific piece of music, you can bring your own compact discs, mini discs or cassette tapes to play on the audio equipment provided.
We know how important it is to remember those who have died and can offer advice on a range of memorials including memorial trees and benches.
If you decide to put a memorial on the grave, we will offer you guidance on our current cemetery regulations.
We do not provide a crematorium service but each of our cemeteries has a memorial garden for cremated remains where loved ones can be remembered with a memorial wedge or vase.
We understand that if your baby or small child has died, you may need a specially dedicated area.
A quiet corner of Rippleside Cemetery has been set aside as a children's memorial garden where children can be buried and memorial headstones placed.
There are also dedicated children's sections at Eastbrookend Cemetery and Chadwell Heath Cemetery.
