Deaths - Mortuary service

 

The Mortuary handles deaths that have been referred to the Coroner or deaths where no death certificate can be issued.

 

We do not have a public mortuary in the borough. Residents who die under suspicious circumstances would be directed by the coroners' office to 1 of 3 neighbouring mortuaries these being either:

The Eastern District of London Coroner's Service covers 5 London Boroughs - Waltham Forest, Newham, Redbridge, Havering and Barking and Dagenham.
