The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health also publishes a range of books for people managing workplace health and safety.

Workers Rights

Advice regarding workers rights including Working Time Regulations is available from the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform or the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) website.

The Employment Relations section of the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform also covers a wide range of legislation including hours of work, pay entitlement, public holidays, employment agency standards, individual employment rights, redundancy arrangements, employee consultation, trade unions and collective rights.

Part of the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform website includes TIGER which is designed to provide a user-friendly guide through different aspects of UK employment law. This includes information on maternity rights, paternity rights, adoption rights, and flexible working rights, including the changes from 6 April 2003.

Employing Disabled people

Information regarding the employment of disabled people and the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 is available from Equality Direct. They provide anyone who is an employer easy access to a wide range of equality issues.
