Supporting People

What does the Supporting People team do?

The Supporting People team work within the council. The team does not deliver services but has contracts with other organisations, including other council departments, to deliver services.

The Supporting People team does the following:

Our partners and stakeholders

The team reports to a Commissioning Body who make decisions about the services we purchase and how we develop the programme. That group includes representatives of the Council, the Primary Care Trust and Probation.

The team are linked to the East London Housing Partnership, which brings together people from boroughs in East London who are involved in housing.

It is the job of the Audit Commission to evaluate how well the programme is delivered by every local council.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with the service you receive from a service funded by supporting people or have any complaints, you can contact the Supporting People team.

You should use the service's complaints procedures first before speaking to the Supporting People team, unless you do not feel comfortable to do so.
