If you are worried about the cost of boarding your pet, please contact the Adult Intake and Access Team for advice. Every local authority has a duty to care for someone's animal if they are admitted as a patient to hospital under Section 48 of the National Assistance Act 1948.

However, you may be financially assessed to see if you can meet some of the costs for the accommodation of your animal.
