Rebates are usually paid during the trial stay period for up to 13 weeks, but it is best to seek detailed advice, particularly if the resident has been in hospital prior to the move. For advice about housing and council tax rebates please contact Revenue Services.
The Adult and Community Services Financial Assessment Team may also help with financial queries.
If after assessment you have decided to move into a residential home Adult and Community Services will explain the payment rules in full and undertake a financial assessment. The amount you will be asked to pay will depend on your ability to pay.
Your ability to pay is calculated by Adult and Community Services according to national government guidelines. The guidelines used are the same for all residential homes, whether owned by us or independent.
For more information about how much you will be asked to pay and details about the charge for short stays, please talk to your care manager or contact the Adult and Community Services Financial Assessment Team.
