Garden maintenance

Age Concern is able to offer a garden maintenance service for those elderly tenants who are not capable of doing the work themselves.

The service will be available to people who are 55 and over living in Barking and Dagenham.

The service started in April 2005 and operates from April to October / November. Age Concern aim to provide a good quality gardening service in response to growing demand by older people who want a competitively priced service. The cost of the service is £12 per hour.

The service will not:

Remove debris and household rubbish
Cut down trees and take out roots
Do heavy digging
Do garden landscaping or building work
