Art Therapy uses the expressive and communicative properties of art making, within a psychotherapeutic setting, to help people explore and work through emotional difficulties and create positive change. The Art Therapist provides a safe and confidential setting within which a client can feel able to openly express feelings through the art making process.
The client and Art Therapist work together to gain understanding of the presenting difficulties and to look at alternative ways of managing these.
