Audible Intruder Alarm key holder form|
In the past alarm companies have had to provide local police with key holder details when they have installed an alarm. The alarm company also had to tell the local council which police station held the information.
If the alarm was activated and the homeowner unable to be contacted, a key holder could be called.
The Metropolitan Police has now decided that local police stations no longer need to keep this information.
However, as part of the Safer Homes initiative, a key holder database has been set up which will enable the police, London boroughs and emergency services, to contact your key holders more easily if there's an incident at your home.
Details of your alarm and key holders can be registered on this database via the London key holder database website.
We have also created our own secure database which will allow our Noise and Nuisance Team to deal with alarms causing a nuisance, by contacting key holders directly.
If we do not have your key holder details and your alarm rings for more than 20 minutes, we may have to contact an alarm company to disconnect your alarm.
This would leave your property unprotected and you would also be responsible for any costs involved.
If you would also like us to hold your details on our secure database, please complete our online alarm key holder form.
If you want more information or wish discuss this further, please contact us at the address shown.
