The team enables the development of affordable new homes within the borough by working in partnership with developers and Registered Social Landlords.

We have a target of providing 390 new affordable properties per year and that includes homes for rent from Registered Social Landlords and shared ownership, allowing people to part-rent and part-buy.

To see if you are eligible for low-cost home ownership properties, and to apply, visit the Housing Options website.

We provide policy research on how we can increase the design quality and environmental sustainability of new homes and are responsible for developing our relationship with Registered Social Landlords who work with us in the borough.

This provides a platform for co-operation, sharing best practice and close working for the benefit of tenants and residents.
