Landlord Accreditation Scheme

The London Landlord Accreditation Scheme aims to assist good Landlords operate a successful business.

An important element of the scheme is the development course, which will give you useful information on how to avoid the pitfalls and problems of operating a rental business and the tools to sort out any problems that may occur.

Are you a landlord or thinking of becoming a landlord?

Training is delivered by a private landlords association and provides landlords with useful, practical information which will:

Show you how to operate a successful business, maximising profit
Reduce the need for intervention from Local Authorities
Explain tax, stamp duty and insurance
Provide information on housing benefit and council tax
Provide your tenants with safe and good quality accommodation
Set out landlord and tenant responsibilities
Show you how to create and end a tenancy
Set out types of tenure

The training will also provide comprehensive information on:

Students and Houses of Multiple Occupation lettings
Gas and electrical safety
Management of properties
Grants and advice on Housing Acts
Repair notices and civil action
Furniture and fire safety
Energy efficiency and affordable warmth
Planning and building control regulations
Noise and antisocial behaviour|
