We are able to provide some financial assistance for homeowners to ensure that their properties are kept up to a decent standard.
The government has radically changed this system of house renovation grants which means the grants are now more limited in number and in the amount that can be paid out by us.
A full description of the grants available can be obtained from the private sector housing team. Alternatively the attached fact sheet gives a brief description of the grants that are currently available.

There are a number of conditions that need to be met before a Housing Grant will be authorised.
Answering the questions below will help you establish if you would be eligible for a grant. If after answering these questions you think you are eligible for a grant then contact 020 8215 3002.
If you have owned and occupied the property for less than 3 years you will not be eligible for any assistance.
If you have previously had a grant at this property within the last 5 years then you will not be eligible for a grant. You may wish to re-apply once the 5 years is up.
If you have an income above £25,000 you may not qualify for grant assistance. If you have an income below this level there will be a means test that determines whether you are eligible for a grant. You are not guaranteed a grant if you earn less than £25,000.
A Renovation Grant is a discretionary grant which is available where large scale works are required to make a house fit for habitation or to put a dwelling into reasonable repair.
