Food hygiene training

The Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) (Butchers' Shops) Amendment Regulations 2000

The Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995

A 'food handler' is anyone involved in a food business who handles food whether it is open (unwrapped) or packaged. The law requires the proprietor of a food business to ensure that all 'food handlers' are trained in food hygiene matters. Food includes drinks and ice.

A list of local providers of food hygiene training follows.

For further details about the courses available, please contact the organisations below.

Some of these organisations will provide training at your premises. Those marked * provide intermediate food hygiene courses.
