The Barking and Dagenham Consumer Support Network is a part of the nationwide Consumer Support Network scheme aimed at making sure that high quality free consumer advice is available to everyone.

When the Barking and Dagenham Network was first formed a 'needs analysis' was carried out which looked at the numbers and types of consumer complaints the partner organisations received.
The results from this analysis was used to establish a list of things which are of most concern to local consumers and lead to the development of a Project Plan

The Consumer Support Network arranges free training on consumer law topics for member organisations, which give advice in the borough.
While some advisers specialise in consumer advice, others spend only a small part of their time working on consumer issues. The aim of the training is to support these advisers and increase their confidence and expertise when dealing with consumer complaints.
