This year the Network made a successful bid for a grant of £10,000 from the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform. The money will be used to carry out a program of Consumer Education based around the theme 'prevention is better than cure'.
The advisory group supervising the project consists of the Trading Standards Team, Thameside Support Advice Centre and the Disablement Association of Barking and Dagenham. The group will ensure that the £10,000 project money is spent wisely and on time.
