The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Forum consists of a wide cross-section of individuals from the community and organisations that have come together to engage with us, and the Barking and Dagenham Partnership, on the concerns and service needs of local LGBT people.
Other organisations that support and fund the Forum include the Barking and Dagenham Metropolitan Police and the local Community Empowerment Network.
The Barking and Dagenham Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Forum and Network is a long term project that is breaking down barriers to participation, engaging with specific communities that have traditionally suffered discrimination and marginalisation; and assisting local agencies to create inclusive social provision.
The structure exists for local lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and aims to be inclusive.
The forum meets once a month. For details please contact the Equalities and Diversity Team at the address shown.
Written by the LGBT community for the LGBT community and health professionals (both from and working with the LGBT community), this is the first resource of its kind available through the NHS.
