Crime Disorder and Drugs Strategy
PDF 53K
This report shows the process and the results of the impact assessment carried out on the Crime Disorder and Drugs Strategy 2005-2008.
This strategy describes what we and our partners in the Community Safety Strategic Partnership will do to reduce crime, the fear of crime, antisocial behaviour and the harm caused by illegal drugs.
Crime can significantly affect all communities but our analyses shows that some crime affects some communities more than others.
Particularly concerning is the rise in race hate crime, domestic violence and the prevalence of youth crime, where young people are both victims and perpetrators of crime and antisocial behaviour.
The delivery tables found in Appendix 3 describe the action our partner agencies will be taking to address the issues we have identified.

We recommend that the implementation of the Crime Disorder and Drugs Strategy become the mechanism used to develop services that meet the needs of all areas of the community.
