We have produced a new Corporate Equalities and Diversity Plan (2005-2008), as successor to its first statutory Race Equality Scheme (2002-2005).
The purpose of the Corporate Equalities and Diversity Plan is combine our statutory and policy commitments to address discrimination on grounds of race, gender, disability, sexuality, age and faith, as well as linking with our community cohesion work.
The document will provide us with a single master plan, establishing equalities and diversity objectives and targets for the whole of the organisation. It provides a framework within which all Council services can develop their own Departmental Equalities and Diversity Plans.
Consultation with staff, stakeholders and community from 8 June 2005 - 31 August 2005. Views to be submitted to the Corporate Equalities and Diversity Team at the address shown.
