Hate can take place anywhere - at home, in the streets, at work or in schools and colleges.
Essentially hate can include any type of threatening behaviour. You would not have had to have been physically attacked or injured to be a victim of a hate crime. It also includes the use of threatening and abusive language towards you.
Incidents may also involve indirect action directed to affect you for example damage to your property and graffiti.
