School safe has been re-launched on the borough and the idea is that it is there to protect you! If you are not sure how it works or what it is read on - its very simple.
Lets say that you are walking to or from school one day and you see someone climbing over the wall into someone's garden or perhaps someone hanging around a car or you notice someone hanging around that you have not seen before, and maybe even more scarily they may start to follow you.
I expect that you would tell someone about this, maybe your friends at school, maybe your mum or dad, well you can do that of course, but you can also use school safe. Just tell a member of staff in the school about what you have seen, and they will know what to do.
You will be asked for a description of the person you saw, so try and remember as much as you can about what they looked like, what they were wearing and, if they were in a car, what sort of car it was and maybe even the registration number!
This information goes on a form that will find its way to the police who would like to know about things like this.
So that's school safe, just let someone know at school about what you have seen and the rest is done for you.
