RADAR Keys

Access to locked public toilets

A RADAR Key allows independent access for disabled people to around 4,000 locked public toilets around the country.

The key scheme is needed where toilets have to be kept locked to stop vandalism and misuse.

Who can purchase a RADAR Key?

The key can be purchased by anyone with a disability or by their carers.

Where can I buy one?

You can buy a key by contacting the Adult Intake and Access Team who will provide an application form. This should then be completed and sent to RADAR who will issue a key. Alternatively, you can purchase one online from the RADAR website.

How much does the key cost?

The key costs £3.40 when a declaration of disability is supplied (e.g. "I am a disabled person and I wish to buy a National Key Scheme Key").

How long can I keep the key for?

The key is yours for as long as you require it.
