The requirement is 21 days notice however, the Access and Attendance Team may be able to issue a licence with just 5 days notice in very special circumstances
Licences are required for performing children from birth until they leave compulsory education
A Form of application for a Licence (
PDF 29K) can be submitted online but please be aware that both parts of the application form need to be signed, part 1 by the Agent and the parent, part 2 by the parent.
Part 2 also requires the following to be submitted: A copy of the child's birth certificate, a certificate of health for the child from a Doctor and 2 current passport size photographs. A letter from the school to cover any absences should also be provided.
No, we do not issue 6 month open licences. We only issue licences for dates specified in the application.
