Welcome to the Barking and Dagenham Family Service Directory.
A new online resource, bringing together information and help for children, young people, parents and carers, families and the practitioners working with them, as part of the 'Parent Know How' initiative.
The Family Information Service is maintaining the Directory. It will be a comprehensive online search facility that will contain contact details and information on what local services can offer.
The Childcare Act 2006 (section 12) gives a duty to local authorities to provide information to parents, or parents to be, on childcare and other services in their area that will enable them to identify sources of support and help for children and young people.
