The Childcare Act 2006 (section 12) gives a duty to local authorities to provide information to parents, or parents to be on childcare and other services that will enable them to identify sources of support and help for children, young people and families.
Barking and Dagenham Family Information Service has developed a new online resource, bringing together information and help for children, young people, parents, carers, families and the practitioners working with them, as part of the Family Information Direct project.
