Cultural and Creative Industries

September 2005 saw the start of an innovative 2 year project, co-funded by the European Social Fund and Learning and Skills Council, involving the borough's young people aged 14-19 participating in events, activities and presentations centred on the cultural and creative industries. The objective in all cases is to enhance and develop academic, personal and employability skills.

All the strands of activity see young people working alongside industry professionals and service providers to learn more about the skills required in addition to the training and career opportunities that are available in this growing employment sector.
