The Adult College provides a range of further education courses at various sites throughout the borough.
There is wheelchair access to most of our sites, and our I.T. suite at Fanshawe is fully adapted for disabled use. An induction loop and radio microphone is available for students who are hard of hearing.
The College staff will provide assistance to students where possible, but if you require specialised support please contact us at the address shown to discuss your needs.
The supported education programme is designed for students with physical disabilities and moderate learning difficulties. It provides a range of discrete educational courses according to need and interest.
Some students are able to participate in the advertised mainstream programme. If you would like further information please contact us at the address shown.
For advice on training, jobs, working for yourself and routes into further and higher education the College has an Adult Careers Guidance Worker available for consultation to all students.
The College also has the computer package 'Adult Directions' available in the Student Resource Centre.
A café offering a range of refreshments is available at the Fanshawe site. Opening hours are Monday to Friday: 9am - 2.15pm and Monday to Thursday: 6.30pm - 8.30pm. Vending facilities are provided at many of our other sites.
The Jellytots crèche is provided at the Fanshawe Centre for the children of students attending the College. Places are subject to availability.
The crèche has fully qualified staff and caters for children aged 1-5 years. The crèche is free for the children of students who qualify for the concessionary fee.
If you would like to reserve a place for your child, please complete the Jellytots crèche application form and return the form to the College with your course enrolment form as soon as possible to reserve a place.
There are limited places available and places will be allocated on a strictly first come first served basis. Once your place has been confirmed you are encouraged to visit with your child before your course begins.
To arrange a visit please contact the crèche staff on 020 8270 4717. The crèche is open between 9.30am - 12pm and 12.30pm - 3pm. The crèche is closed during College holidays including half term.
At the Adult College we are committed to giving our students the best possible service at all times. We want your time with us to be an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

We welcome your comments about the College services and look forward to helping you get the most out of your course.
Students and tutors often enjoy the help and support of volunteers. Volunteers help a variety of students, who wish to improve their reading and writing skills, practice their maths or speak better English. It may also be to help a disabled student to attend a course.
If you would like to volunteer please contact us at the address shown to make an appointment with one of our Managers.
You can also contact Learn Direct on 0800 100 900 for information on courses. They offer courses for everyone from beginners to advanced and everyone in-between. You can learn about computers, the internet and presentation skills or just come to improve your reading and writing.
Learn Direct is a flexible way of learning. Once you have enrolled on a course you can learn wherever you have got internet access, at home, at work, or at a Learn Direct Centre.
Learn Direct is a self-managed programme, offering interactive discovery and learning to support development both in identifying personal strengths and work-related skills. It can also help with career progression.
