The following charges apply:
Fines are charged on overdue items but you can renew items in person, by telephone, post, email, fax and online. However you will not be able to renew items online if there are any outstanding charges.
Children's / Factual, 1 week loan period - Charge £1 + £0.55 per day fine.
Feature, 1 week loan period - Charge £2 + £0.55 per day fine.
A course, 3 week loan period - Charge £1 + £0.16 per day fine.
CDs - singles, 3 week loan period - Charge £1 + £0.16 per day fine.
CDs - doubles/boxed sets, 3 week loan period - Charge £1.50 + £0.16 per day fine.
3 months - Charge £10.
6 months - Charge £15.
12 months - Charge £30.
Children / young people 0-15, 3 week loan period - No fines.
Adults 16+, 3 week loan period + £0.16 per day fine.
Adults £1, children / young people 0-15 50p.
Children / young people 0-15, 3 week loan period - No fines.
Adults 16+, 3 week loan period - Charge £1 per box set + £0.16 per day fine. Concessions for loan charge are available.
These are available for loan free of charge for the following groups of people who have any disability which restricts their use of the printed word, including:
Items in stock as listed on the London Libraries Consortium Library catalogue can be reserved free of charge. There is a charge of £1.20 per item to adults aged 16 or over for reserving other items.
Faxes can be sent to UK numbers from all libraries in the borough. The charge is £1 per page to send, 50p per page to receive a fax at the library.
A number of libraries have a photocopier. All offer printing from the Peoples Network computers. Barking Library has a microfilm/fiche reader printer.
