Directions to the Library Services Headquarters at 18 Muirhead Quay

(Heading along Abbey Road from the Gascoigne area):

Follow Abbey Road round to the bend with the traffic lights. Bear left and you will quickly reach a roundabout with a tall white sculpture in the middle - go straight on (as if heading for East Ham), passing Halfords on your left.

You will soon see Tesco's on your left, and reach the large A406 roundabout. Turn immediate left, as if you are going to Tesco's. Instead of going into the entrance, get into the right hand lane that takes you past it (this runs parallel with the A406).

Go past the hotels on your left, and you will then come to a small roundabout. Take the 2nd exit, signposted 'Fresh Wharf' (more or less straight ahead).

You will see a Portakabin in front of you, with a barrier on either side. Take the right hand barrier, which should be raised for you.

Follow the road round, you will have to turn/bear left, and then turn right, in between the 2 warehouse buildings with large round red signs.

Number 18 Muirhead Quay is clearly marked in the building on your right with parking directly in front.

(You can also reach the Halfords roundabout (with the sculpture) via Longbridge Road and the Northern Relief Road).
