Book Start

Book Start is a national scheme which gives free books to babies, toddlers and 3 year olds to encourage a love of books and reading and give them a head start in their educational and emotional development.

The Book Start Baby packs and Book Start Plus packs for two year olds are normally given out at health checks and the Treasure Chests for three year olds are given out through children's centres and nurseries.

You can also pick up a pack from your local library.

Please bring your child's Personal Health record book (red book) when you collect your pack.

For more information, visit Book Start or contact the Book Start scheme coordinator on 020 8724 8531.
