The exterior of timber-framed Eastbury House presents a superb example of an Elizabethan gentry house.
It was constructed using traditional methods.

Traditional lath and plaster work
The building has 2 main storeys with an attic above, and cellar below.
It is built to an H-shaped plan with a brick-walled courtyard to the south.

Interior brickwork
The English Bond red-brick work is enhanced with 'diaper-work' patterns in a grey coloured brick. There is also much use of moulded bricks, notably the pediment of the transitional-style north entrance porch.
A mixture of Gothic and Renaissance features can be seen.

Mullioned window
The mullioned and transomed windows were originally finished with plaster and stained to imitate the appearance of stone cladding.
