Public Art in Barking and Dagenham

Barking Park

With funding from local development, we are commissioning an artist to work with the Landscape Designers appointed to work on Barking Park during 2006 and 2007.

The Park was once a community hub around which the Town Centre developed and the borough is applying to the Heritage Lottery Fund to restore the Park to its premier position as a key town centre facility with something of interest for the whole community.

The role of the artist will be to collaborate with the Landscape Designers to develop a creative and interesting space with artistic features and accessible design, which encourages the whole community to enjoy and engage with the space.
